about Mohammed Ayyad, Founder of The Decor Nest

HELLO & WELCOME

I’m Mohammed, the creator of The Decor Nest.

Welcome to The Decor Nest. I started this blog after spending years experimenting with my own living spaces and realizing that creating a beautiful home doesn’t have to involve expensive furniture or professional designers.

Most of what I’ve learned came from trial and error — rearranging furniture, testing color combinations, and discovering how small changes can completely change the atmosphere of a room. Here on The Decor Nest, I share practical ideas, styling inspiration, and simple upgrades that help turn ordinary spaces into homes that feel warm, comfortable, and truly personal.

My Design Journey

I didn’t begin my journey as a professional interior designer with unlimited budgets or perfectly styled homes. Like many people, I started by trying to improve the spaces I was living in — small rooms, tight layouts, and furniture that had to serve multiple purposes.

Over time, I realized that good design isn’t really about buying the most expensive pieces. What makes a space work is how you combine colors, arrange furniture, and add small personal touches that make a room feel comfortable and lived in.

That experience is what led me to create The Decor Nest. My goal is to share practical decorating ideas and realistic styling inspiration that people can actually use in their own homes — without complicated projects or unrealistic budgets.

Our Core Values

What We Stand For

💡

Accessible Design

Good design shouldn’t depend on expensive furniture or luxury budgets. I focus on decorating ideas that are affordable, realistic, and easy for anyone to recreate in their own home.

🛠️

Practical DIYs

Some of the most satisfying improvements in a home come from simple DIY projects. I share practical guides and small upgrades that help you add personal touches without complicated tools or professional experience.

🏡

Cozy Comfort

A home should feel welcoming and comfortable, not like a perfectly staged showroom. I believe the best spaces are the ones that feel warm, relaxed, and truly lived in.
